I’m delighted to be able to confirm that the recent appeal by the Generator group vs Horsham Council has been upheld, meaning that the Government Inspector has approved the Golf and Fitness Village plan.
This scheme includes the delivery of a permanent home for Horsham Hockey Club and I have been told that this has been confirmed in writing today. This is a vital step towards securing our future and a permanent home for Hockey in Horsham.

Horsham Hockey Club
Horsham Hockey Club is working towards securing our future with a combined club house and pitch which could be located under the Horsham Golf and Fitness Village concept currently being proposed at the Horsham Golf site on Worthing Rd, Horsham RH13 0AX
Horsham District Council is required to select sites for future development in and around Horsham as part of its local plan and developers are invited to submit proposal for consideration. The Horsham Golf and Fitness Village concept backed by The Generator Group is proposing to deliver substantial sporting facilities alongside extra housing.
In June 2020 Horsham District Council published it initial consultation document on proposed site and Horsham Hockey members contributed 94 letters of support to the council in favour of this development. Our excellent support has meant that Horsham District Council has now engaged with the Generator Group to examine the proposals for the Horsham Golf and Fitness Village concept in more detail. Full details of the proposed development will be availble soon.
